Welcome to Texas Shooters. By becoming a member and participating in our events, you agree to follow the rules and policies outlined below. These rules help ensure fair competition, participant safety, and integrity in scoring and prize distribution.
Membership Rules
Membership is required to participate in any Texas Shooters competition.
Annual fee: $100/year + 4% processing fee
Membership is valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

Monthly Championship Shoots
Specialty and Series Shoots
Range Policy
Range fees vary and are the responsibility of each participant.
Texas Shooters partners with multiple ranges across Texas to host events.
All participants must follow the specific rules of the range they attend.
Ranges may have custom safety requirements or restrictions — we respect and enforce all range-specific rules.
We encourage members to find the range that best suits their needs and comfort.
Legal & Conduct Policy
All participants must follow Federal, State, and Local firearm laws.
Texas Shooters will not participate in or tolerate any illegal firearm activity.
Members must use legal, personally owned handguns only.
Unsafe or disrespectful behavior may result in immediate disqualification or removal from membership.
Event Entry Policy
Members may enter as many events as they wish.
A paid entry and confirmation code is required for each entry.
There will be no leaning/being assisted by any part of the structure to include the bench top located in front where the weapon is placed. All Texas Shooters LLC competitions are from an "unassisted standing position." Unless otherwise advertised!
No extension device for the gun. To include but not limited to Sleeves, braces or anything else that is not part of the original gun at manufacturing.
Shoot Completion Deadline
It is the member’s responsibility to complete their shoots within the posted deadline.
Prize Distribution:
Prize pool is 65% of the total collected entry fees for the event.
Winnings will be paid out within 7–10 days after the close of competition to allow time for scoring and result publication.
Competition Rules
Weekly Shoots:
Held every week, from12:00 AM Sunday to 11:59 PM Saturday.
Entry fee : $20
The Range must enter your confirmation number onto your target. Without this number, your target is void.
All shoots must be witnessed by the Range.
There is no limit to the number of entries members can purchase for each event. Each target must have its own confirmation code.
A maximum of 6 rounds per target.
Target to be 60 ft. away.
Iron sites only, no additional sites or scopes.
Scoring is based on target markups completed after submission.
Firearm Eligibility:
Rimfire small-calibre handguns are not permitted in the Weekly, Bi-Monthly, or Monthly competitions. They may only be used in dedicated Rimfire Category Shoots, held separately.
Only center-fire firearms are allowed in the main competitions.
Bi-monthly Shoots
Runs twice per month:
First Period: 1st to 15th
Second Period: 16th to end of the month
Entry fee : $50

All shoots must be witnessed by the Range.
There is no limit to the number of entries members can purchase for each event. Each target must have its own confirmation code.
A maximum of 6 rounds per target.
Target to be 60 ft. away.

Each target includes six (6) shots from your own legal handgun.
Official Scoring Criteria
All targets will be scored using Texas Shooters LLC’s official measuring system, as outlined below:Scoring is based on the single bullet hole that is furthest from the target's crosshairs. All bullet holes are measured from centerpoint to centerpoint.
In the event of a tie, we calculate the Mean Radius—the average group size of all six rounds, measured by overall height and width of the shot group.
Tiebreaker 2 – Maximum Spread (CTC):
If a tie still remains, we use the Maximum Spread, measured center-to-center between the two furthest bullet holes in the group.
If a winner still cannot be determined after applying all three methods, the prize money for the tied positions will be combined and evenly split between the tied competitors.
All scoring decisions are final.
Scoring is based on all 6 shots as a group, not any one single shot.
The furthest bullet hole in the group will be used to measure from the center of the bullet hole to the center of the crosshair.
General Rules
1.1 Each competitor must fire six (6) shots per target.
1.2 If one or more shots fail to strike the scoring area of the target, the round will be scored as a five-shot (5) target and noted as such.
1.3 A six-shot (6) target will always outrank a five-shot (5) target of equal score.
1.4 Five-shot (5) targets will still be scored and ranked. If there are not enough qualifying six-shot (6) targets to fill the payout positions, the highest-ranking five-shot (5) targets will be included.
Weekly Shoot
2.1 The entire target is considered in play.
2.2 A bullet hole counts if it lands anywhere within the target area.
2.3 Shots breaking the outer black border around the blue ring are scored as valid hits.
2.4 The six-shot (6) rule applies.
Bi-Monthly Shoot
3.1 Only the white ring and the red bull’s-eye are considered in play.
3.2 The blue ring is out of bounds.
3.3 The six-shot (6) rule applies.
Monthly Shoot
4.1 Only the red bull’s-eye is considered in play.
4.2 The blue and white rings are out of bounds.
4.3 The six-shot (6) rule applies.
Final Notes

All competition results, tie-breaks, and scoring decisions made by Texas Shooters are final.
