Welcome to Texas Shooters. By becoming a member and participating in our events, you agree to follow the rules and policies outlined below. These rules help ensure fair competition, participant safety, and integrity in scoring and prize distribution.

Membership Rules

  • Membership is required to participate in any Texas Shooters competition.

  • Annual fee: $100/year + 4% processing fee

    • Membership is valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

  • Members gain access to all competition types:

    • Weekly Shoots

    • Bi-Monthly Shoots

    • Monthly Championship Shoots

    • Specialty and Series Shoots

Range Policy

  • Texas Shooters partners with multiple ranges across Texas to host events.

  • All participants must follow the specific rules of the range they attend.

  • Ranges may have custom safety requirements or restrictions — we respect and enforce all range-specific rules.

  • Range fees vary and are the responsibility of each participant.

  • We encourage members to find the range that best suits their needs and comfort.

Legal & Conduct Policy

  • All participants must follow Federal, State, and Local firearm laws.

  • Texas Shooters will not participate in or tolerate any illegal firearm activity.

  • Members must use legal, personally owned handguns only.

  • Unsafe or disrespectful behavior may result in immediate disqualification or removal from membership.

Competition Rules

  • Weekly Shoots:

    • Held every week, from12:00 PM Sunday to 11:59 PM Saturday.

    • Entry fee : $20 per target

    • Members may submit multiple targets per weekly event.

    • Scoring is based on target markups completed after submission.

  • Scoring:

    • Each target includes six (6) shots from your own legal handgun.

    • Scoring is based on the grouping closest to the center of the bullseye.

    • A tighter grouping that is further from the bullseye may lose to a wider grouping closer to the center.

    • In case of a tie (when two or more targets are indistinguishable in scoring):

      • Prize amounts for the tied positions (e.g., 1st + 2nd) are combined and split equally.

      • This same tie-handling method applies to points-based awards, if applicable.

    • All scoring decisions are final.

  • Prize Distribution:

    • Prize pool is 65% of the total collected entry fees for the event.

    • Winnings will be paid out within 7–10 days after the close of competition to allow time for scoring and result publication.

Final Notes

  • We are proud to offer a unique and exciting shooting competition format.

  • All competition results, tie-breaks, and scoring decisions made by Texas Shooters are final.

  • By joining, you agree to uphold the integrity and community spirit of Texas Shooters.
